Pianist/jazz educator David Leonhardt and group have recorded an all Cole Porter album with their own distinctive styling. The group includes saxophonist Larry McKenna, a seventy-one year old artist from the Philadelphia area; bassist Matthew Parrish, drummer Paul Wells and young up-and-coming vocalist Nancy Reed.
Leonhardt has over thirty recordings under his own name as well as having worked and recorded with many jazz giants, example Stan Getz. He is active as a jazz educator with programs for elementary up to and beyond college level. Interestingly, he grew up in Louisville, KY and came under the influence of Jamey Aebersold.
