This two CD set on the Palmetto Label is scheduled to be released on September 11. Legendary pianist Fred Hersch appears with his trio—John Hebert on bass and Eric McPherson on drums. The two hours of music on these recorded-live CDs include seven new Hersch compositions, four American Songbook tunes and seven jazz standards.
In all, this live album makes one feel present in the esteemed Vanguard jazz room.
