Next “JazzFest Goes On” Scheduled for Sat., August 7th 2010!

Twice each year, the “JazzFest Goes On” events help raise funds to support our annual Pensacola JazzFest.

Mark your calendars for one of the major events of the year: “JazzFest Goes On” will take place on Saturday, August 7th, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m in the Phineas Phogg’s Room at Seville Quarter. This show will feature "The Loose Marbles" a New Orleans based group focusing on the preservation of traditional jazz and the development of the music and dance culture in New Orleans and surrounding areas. Proceeds from this event go to support the 28th Annual Pensacola JazzFest, to be held April 2-3, 2011. Presented free to the community, the JazzFest is possible only through the support of our membership and guests at events like this as well as the generous donations received throughout the year. In addition, top-flight programs such as this attract new members to our organization and help us grow for the future. This show is a great opportunity for our members to introduce their friends to the Jazz Society–many of our members joined after discovering us through one of these showcase events.

Admission to “JazzFest Goes On” is $20.00 per person in advance and $25.00 per person at the door. Admission for students with ID is $5.00 at the door. Advance tickets will be available at JSOP events, Seville Quarter, Reynalds Music and Dollarhide’s Music and Sound, as well as the JSOP office. Tickets may be purchased with Visa, Mastercard or Discover card by calling the office during office hours (Tues.-Fri. 9 am - 1 pm).
