The JSOP Media Room is now up and running, and ready for our members to utilize! This has been a special project of JSOP President Crystal Joy Albert and VP Tara Leigh Miller, who have spent considerable time and effort rearranging and organizing our media, and designing this comfortable space. The equipment in the Media Room includes an LP2CD turntable, which, true to its name, can download the music from a vinyl record to a CD. The equipment is also connected to a computer and speakers, so that it can be converted to MP3 files also, which can then be used on computers, iPhones, iPods, etc. It’s easy to use, and we hope that our members will enjoy this new benefit! The equipment is available by appointment (email us at info@jazzpensacola.com to set up a time), so that someone can be in the office to assist you in the process. Bring your favorite LP and take home a CD, and continue to enjoy your entire music collection — even 78′s and 45′s! Bring your own blank CD, or we have them available for a nominal fee of $2.
In addition, there is a DVD player and a television, as well as a CD player, so that you can browse our extensive collection of materials. DVD’s of all of our Jazz Gumbos, JazzFests and special events are available for you to view and enjoy.
