Fingers crossed!

That’s right! Jazz Pensacola is having a jazz festival…yes, on Saturday and Sunday, May 15 & 16, in Seville Square, downtown Pensacola.
But first on Friday, May 14, we will hold a Meet and Greet of Pensacola JazzFest artists 7-11 p.m. at The District on Government Street.
We will kick off the festival at 10 a.m. on Saturday with the Five Alive Quintet; The Dharma Beats, featuring the Tate High Vocal Jazz, will go on next, followed by the Northwest Florida State College Jazz Ensemble. Next up will be the Jack Zoesch Quartet, then the Isabelle Schrack Band, Glenn Parker Band, Memphis musician Alex Nollan and his quartet, local favorite Nobius, with Nashville musician Joe Murphy and his quartet ending the day.
Tired? No? Head to The District for an all-star Jazz Jam!
Sunday morning kicks off with The Neighbors You Know, a fresh group with members of Soul Station. Up next, 9th Avenue Brass, a fresh hip brass band, followed by the Freedom Jazz Dectet, and Troy, Alabama, saxophonist LaRoy Bodiford with his quartet. We will add a little sauce to the festival with Cajun/Zydeco music from Fais Do/Do, followed by Detroit musicians Doug Horn and Tony Viviano with their trio. The Chip Herrington Quintet takes the stage next, with the Excelsior Brass Band closing the festival.
The line-up is a top drawer group of great musicians — regional, national and local!

Fingers crossed.
